5th Anniversary of THRIVE x Pink Chat 2017: A Forum and Celebration

October 6, 2017 by CdoCityEvents

October is “Breast Cancer Awareness Month” and THRIVE CDO, a non-profit group in the city whose passion and advocacy is to help and inspire those have been touched by breast cancer, launched their month-long 5th Anniversary celebration at Maison de Bonbon last September 30, 2017 (Saturday 3PM) with Pink Chat 2017: Courage & Faith, an empowering and “Wonder Woman”-themed forum on Breast Cancer Awareness.

The said forum and celebration highlighted why THRIVE CDO was birthed way back in 2012 and why it continues (and must continue) to exist. Its main purpose is to reach out those who are struggling and are in pain for having breast cancer. Their aim is to inspire these patients that there is hope and a cure, and that life is beautiful and is worth fighting for.

They seek those who need a support group and an outlet for their fears and depression, especially those who have gone through chemotherapy and the like. Through organizing talks and symposiums every year, THRIVE was able to spread the good news that “Breast Cancer is indeed a cancer, but can be cured” and that “Early detection saves lives”.

Attended the annual forum and get-together were representative/s coming from the PhilHealth, DepEd, CUMC, the owner of Spruce CDO, Ms. CDO 2017 Grand Winner Katrina Acaylar, CDO Bloggers and local media practitioners, with the all-out support of Spruce (since 2012) and Bigbys (this year).
